.MAC Satin in Rebel | Swatch and Review.

I’ve been getting lots of tweets/comments/emails asking which lipstick i was wearing in this photo from last weekend so i thought i would do a full review and swatch post about my new favourite lippy!

It’s a MAC Satin lipstick which i brought the other week and haven’t stopped wearing since. In the store i was a little scared of buying such a dark, bold and purple colour but i braved it and haven’t looked back since! In real life it’s a lot more purple than it looks in these photos - i actually think the Iphone picture i posted before shows a better colour, but i wanted to show you up close just how nice it looks on. I normally go for completely matte lipsticks, but the satin finish in this one is very nourishing and it helps the colour look a lot smoother but doesn’t look too wet or shiny which i like. It also has great wear time. Apart from a little fading in the centre after a few drinks it stays put and as it does eventually fade it leaves behind a pretty light purple stain which i like wearing on it’s own. I’ve had so many compliments on this lipstick and i think it’s a lovely alternative to dark reds if you’re looking for something a little different this season. I really like MAC lipsticks in general and at £14 a go they’re a nice mid-range lippy to have in your makeup bag.
